Xiaomi 14 Ultra Camera Specs Revealed: Expected to Maintain Position as Successor to Xiaomi 13 Ultra

Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro in China in October 2023, showcasing the new HyperOS interface. Rumors have begun circulating about the potential addition of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra to the lineup. Recently, an image of the alleged cover glass for the Xiaomi 14 Ultra surfaced online, divulging key details about the smartphone’s camera. The image suggests that the camera module design may be similar to its predecessor, but with brighter lenses. Reports indicate that the handset could be released in March 2024.

The leaked image, via GSMArena, shows the cover glass bearing Leica branding. The camera cut-outs are positioned similarly to the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, but the size of the lens holes is slightly larger, indicating the potential inclusion of brighter lenses. According to the report, the primary camera may have an f/1.6 aperture, up from the f/1.9 aperture of its predecessor.

There are also expectations for the periscope telephoto camera to feature a lens with an f/2.5 aperture as opposed to the Xiaomi 13 Ultra’s f/3.0 aperture. Additionally, rumors suggest that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra could be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, a 5,180mAh battery with 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging support, and a slightly curved display.

It is also rumored that the Xiaomi 14 series could be launched in India and other global markets at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2024). The base model, Xiaomi 14, was launched in China in October 2023, featuring a 6.3-inch LTPO AMOLED display with adaptive refresh rate, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, up to 12GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of inbuilt storage. The smartphone also boasts a 50-megapixel triple rear camera setup, a 32-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 4,610mAh battery with fast charging support.
