Meta has introduced a groundbreaking development in the world of artificial intelligence with the unveiling of their new Meta AI assistant, showcased at Meta Connect 2023. This AI-driven assistant is set to revolutionize the way users interact with WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram, offering a seamless conversational experience akin to speaking with another person.

Meta AI, developed using a custom model derived from Llama 2 and Meta’s Large Language Model (LLM) research, boasts an impressive array of capabilities. Notable features include real-time information retrieval from Microsoft’s Bing for text-based conversations, as well as an image generation tool that can create lifelike images from text prompts in mere seconds.

During the presentation, Meta demonstrated the versatility of Meta AI by showcasing its usefulness in various scenarios, such as requesting mocktail recommendations. The AI assistant is not limited to individual chats but also extends its utility to group conversations, promising to offer invaluable assistance in a variety of situations.

In addition to Meta AI, Meta also announced the development of 28 more AI assistants and revealed partnerships with celebrities like Dwyane Wade, Kendall Jenner, and Snoop Dogg, who now have dedicated AI profiles on Instagram and Facebook. Furthermore, the introduction of AI stickers for WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, and Facebook Stories will enhance visual communication with customised stickers generated from text prompts.

With Meta’s commitment to enriching user experiences across their platforms, the future of artificial intelligence integration looks promising for Meta’s global audience.
