Vivo Y100 5G Unveiled with Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, 50-Megapixel Camera: Price and Specs Revealed
The Vivo Y100 5G smartphone has been launched in Indonesia, adding to the company’s Y100 series. This device features a 50-megapixel primary camera and is the latest addition to the Y100 lineup, which includes the standard Y100, Y100i, and Y100i Power models in the Chinese market. The Indonesian variant of the Y100 5G boasts higher specifications compared to its Chinese counterpart, including a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset and a 5,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. The device comes in Black Onyx and Purple Orchid colour options.
The price of the Vivo Y100 5G in Indonesia is set at IDR 3,899,000 (approximately Rs. 20,500) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, while the 8GB RAM with 256GB storage model is priced at IDR 4,199,000 (approximately Rs. 22,000). The smartphone is currently available for purchase in Indonesia through Vivo’s online store and authorized retailers.
As for the India launch, details about the Vivo Y100 5G remain unknown at this time. The Y100i Power was launched in China in December 2023 with a price of CNY 2,099 (roughly Rs. 24,000) for the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage variant. In India, the older version of the Vivo Y100 was launched in February 2023 with a price of Rs. 24,999 for the 8GB + 128GB storage variant. This model featured a MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC and a 4,500mAh battery with 44W wired charging support.
In terms of specifications, the Vivo Y100 5G features a 6.6-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,200 nits. It is powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage, running on Android 14-based Funtouch OS 14.
The device is equipped with a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel primary shooter, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a flicker sensor. For selfies, it has an 8-megapixel front camera. The Y100 5G is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging support.
In terms of connectivity, it supports dual nano SIM, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, BDS, and dual-band Wi-Fi. The device also includes sensors such as an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, e-compass, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
