Report: Xiaomi 14 Series to Introduce ‘AI Treasure Chest’ Featuring Multiple AI Tools Being Tested, Potential Debut in 2021

Xiaomi is reportedly testing its “AI Treasure Chest” feature for the Xiaomi 14 series, a collection of AI features aimed at enhancing the user experience of the flagship lineup. The internal testing is said to be taking place between April 18 and August 2, with only 78 people registering for the feature so far. Xiaomi is accepting feedback from users through its official channel.

The AI Treasure Chest is expected to include the “AI Surprise Wallpaper” feature, among others. Xiaomi aims to provide new solutions by integrating multiple AI technologies. The Xiaomi 14 series, which includes the Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Pro, and Xiaomi 14 Ultra models, is already available in India.

The smartphones run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and feature the Android 14-based HyperOS interface. They boast LTPO AMOLED displays with up to 2K resolution and 120Hz dynamic refresh rate. Additionally, the devices come with a Leica-tuned rear camera setup and support for 90W wired charging.

Samsung initiated the trend of AI-driven features with its Galaxy S24 series earlier this year. Following suit, OnePlus and Google have also introduced AI tools for their handsets. Xiaomi’s move into the AI space marks a significant development in the smartphone industry, as more companies look to leverage AI for improved functionalities and user experiences.
