Report: WhatsApp Web’s New Revamped Sidebar Interface Coming Soon for Users

WhatsApp Web to Soon Get Username Search Feature Without Sharing Phone Number to Increase Privacy: Report

WhatsApp has started rolling out a redesigned interface for its Web client, including a sidebar and dark mode, to some users. The new feature is currently available to users who have signed up for the Web client’s beta program, hinting at a potential public rollout in the near future. Last week, WhatsApp also introduced Meta AI to some users in India.

According to a report by WABetaInfo, the redesigned interface is being gradually rolled out to select users, indicating that it is currently undergoing a limited test phase. The new interface does not introduce new features but reorganizes different sections of the platform within a neatly designed sidebar.

The revamped WhatsApp Web interface includes a dark mode, offering improved readability for users who prefer a black-background-white-text format. The sidebar features icons for Chats, Communities, Status Updates, Channels, Archived Chats, Starred Messages, and Broadcasted messages, enhancing navigation for Starred messages and Archived chats.

With beta testers receiving the new interface now, it is anticipated that the feature may be rolled out to all users in the coming weeks. In addition to this update, WhatsApp has been working on various features, including a link privacy feature allowing users to disable link previews to protect their privacy during chats.

Overall, the new interface aims to enhance user experience and provide more efficient navigation for WhatsApp Web users. As WhatsApp continues to introduce new features and updates, users can expect further improvements to the platform in the future.
