Motorola is gearing up to launch its latest flagship this month, boasting an impressive 125W charging capability. The announcement was made through a post on X on Friday, April 12, revealing an event scheduled for April 16 to introduce the “Edge Family” for 2024. The upcoming flagship is teased to feature the same rapid charging as the Motorola Edge 40 Ultra.

The teaser also provided a glimpse of the design, showcasing a rear panel housing at least three camera lenses. The device in question is speculated to be the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, hinted at by well-known leaker Evan Blass. While the Motorola Edge 50 Pro has already been released in India, the “Ultra” variant is set to make its debut soon.

Motorola has dropped hints about the Motorola Edge 50 series through an X post, mentioning that it will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC. Previous leaks and benchmark listings suggest that the Edge 50 Ultra will indeed run on this chipset, delivering impressive performance.

Recent Geekbench scores for the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra revealed a high-performance CPU configuration and hinted at 12GB of RAM. The device is expected to feature a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor and a 6.7-inch OLED display with a high refresh rate.

The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is anticipated as the most premium offering in the Edge 50 series, likely to debut in the US market with a price tag around $999. Fans are eagerly awaiting the official launch to experience the cutting-edge features of this flagship device.
