Microsoft OneNote App for Apple Vision Pro With Hands-Free Note Taking, Virtual Keyboard Support Launched

Microsoft OneNote is now available on Apple Vision Pro, as announced by Product Manager, Greg MacEachern. The cloud-based note-taking app will support AR and VR environments, offering hands-free note-taking and typing options through finger-tracking sensors. The app is designed to help users stay productive and organized in spatial reality.

Users of Apple Vision Pro can now take advantage of the immersive experience offered by OneNote, opening the app in real or virtual spaces at their convenience. The app supports essential features like writing memos, creating digital notebooks, highlighting text, adding tags, and securing notes with passwords. Sharing capabilities and cloud-syncing features are also available, with some exclusive features for paid subscribers.

The OneNote app for Vision Pro does not include any unique features specific to the platform at this time. However, Microsoft plans to introduce more platform-specific features in the future, such as inserting from camera and photos, Copilot integration, two-factor authentication, and more. The timeline for these additions has not been disclosed.

Earlier this year, Zoom also released an app compatible with Apple Vision Pro, expanding virtual meeting room options with advanced features like Personas support. With the integration of Microsoft OneNote, users now have more productivity tools at their disposal on the mixed-reality headset.
