Motorola Edge 50 Pro Review: Best Mid-Range Phone You Can Buy?

Motorola has made a strong comeback with the launch of the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, a mid-range smartphone that offers a premium design and some world-first features. Priced at Rs. 31,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant and Rs. 35,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant, the Edge 50 Pro aims to set a new standard in its segment.

The phone boasts a sleek design with rounded corners, curved edges, and a choice of three color options including Black Beauty, Luxe Lavender, and MoonLight Pearl. The use of vegan leather and acetate finish adds a touch of sophistication to the overall look of the phone. Additionally, the unboxing experience is unique, with Motorola using sustainable materials such as soy ink and even spraying perfume on the packaging.

In terms of specifications, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage. It runs on the Android 14-based Hello UI, offering a clean and minimal user interface with no bloatware. The phone also comes with a 4,500mAh battery with support for up to 125W fast charging.

The highlight of the Edge 50 Pro is its impressive display, featuring a 6.7-inch pOLED curved panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and Pantone-validated true color accuracy. The phone also offers stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support for an immersive audio experience.

When it comes to camera performance, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro sports a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto shooter. The front camera is a 50-megapixel sensor for high-quality selfies.

Overall, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro is a well-rounded smartphone that excels in design, display, performance, and camera capabilities. While there are some minor drawbacks such as oversaturated colors in photos and a slightly smaller battery, the Edge 50 Pro remains a solid choice in the mid-range segment.
