IDC report shows Apple iPhone shipments decrease by 10% in Q1 2024 as Samsung takes lead

Apple’s stronghold in the global smartphone market has faced a significant setback in the first quarter of 2024, as iPhone shipments witnessed a 10 percent decline compared to the same period last year. According to IDC, this has allowed Samsung to reclaim its position as the leading smartphone manufacturer, driven by the success of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series.
