iPhone 16 launch: 6 big changes Apple plans to make in 2024

The anticipation surrounding the iPhone series is at an all-time high, with the iPhone 16 looming on the horizon. A recent video from EFTM’s Trevor Long showcased machined blanks of the iPhone 16, offering a peek into Apple’s evolving design decisions for 2024.

One of the major changes in the upcoming iPhone lineup is the introduction of the “Capture Button.” Building upon the “Action Button” seen in the iPhone 15 Pro models, the iPhone 16 models will feature this new button, allowing users to control zoom, focus, and recording functions with varying levels of pressure.

The camera upgrades in the iPhone 16 Pro lineup are set to be substantial, with reports suggesting a jump from a 12MP to a 48MP Ultra-Wide camera. Both the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will also boast an upgraded tetaprism camera, enabling enhanced optical and digital zoom capabilities.

To address the lens flare issue in bright light conditions, the iPhone 16 Pro will come equipped with an anti-reflective coating, ensuring clearer and sharper photos. Additionally, the display sizes for the iPhone 16 Pro models are rumored to increase to 6.3 and 6.9 inches, featuring improved OLED panels with micro-lens technology and Border Reduction Structure (BRS) for sleeker design.

Under the hood, all iPhone 16 models are expected to feature the A18 chip, with the Pro models potentially offering enhanced features. The integration of iOS 18 may bring advanced Siri functionalities and AI capabilities exclusive to the iPhone 16 series. Overall, the iPhone 16 lineup promises groundbreaking changes in camera capabilities, design elements, and performance upgrades, setting the stage for an exciting year ahead in the world of technology.
