NBA Play-In Games Matchups Revealed: Heat to Face 76ers, Hawks Scheduled to Play Bulls, Lakers Set to Compete Against Pelicans, Warriors Matched Up Against Kings

NBA play-in games set: Heat-76ers, Hawks-Bulls, Lakers-Pelicans, Warriors-Kings

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers are staying in New Orleans for a couple more days, while Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors will head back to Sacramento to face elimination. The Miami Heat are back in the play-in, which kickstarted their run to the NBA Finals last year.

The play-in field is set, with the Lakers facing the Pelicans for a No. 7 seed in the Western Conference on Tuesday. Following that, the Warriors will face the Kings in an elimination game. On Wednesday, it’s the Heat going to Philadelphia to decide No. 7 in the Eastern Conference, followed by Atlanta at Chicago in a must-win matchup.

Of the 20 postseason seeds, 15 were decided on Sunday, including three of the four play-in matchups and three of the four first-round series that don’t involve play-in teams. In the East, the final order is Boston, New York, Milwaukee, Cleveland, Orlando, Indiana, Philadelphia, Miami, Chicago, and Atlanta. In the West, the order from No. 1 to No. 10 is Oklahoma City, Denver, Minnesota, LA Clippers, Dallas, Phoenix, New Orleans, the Lakers, Sacramento, and Golden State.

The Heat-76ers winner will go on to face the No. 2 seed New York in Round 1 of the playoffs, while the loser will play host to the Hawks-Bulls winner for a chance to meet the No. 1 overall seed Boston. The Lakers-Pelicans winner secures the No. 7 seed and will face defending champion Denver in Round 1, while the loser will face the Sacramento-Golden State winner for the chance to play No. 1 seed Oklahoma City.

The only first-round series set before Sunday was Clippers-Mavericks in the West, now joined by Bucks-Pacers, Cavaliers-Magic in the East, and Timberwolves-Suns in the West. The road to the NBA playoffs promises a thrilling and highly competitive series ahead, with every team vying for their chance at glory.
