2024 MLB Cy Young odds: Burnes, Strider favorites before Opening Day

In the world of Major League Baseball, pitcher injuries have been a common theme as of late, leading to significant changes in the Cy Young betting board. The favorite in the American League, Corbin Burnes, holds strong at +550 odds. However, an elbow injury to Spencer Strider has caused a shift in the National League standings, with Zach Wheeler of the Philadelphia Phillies now leading the pack at +450.

Other pitchers have also been making moves on the oddsboard, with Tarik Skubal of the Detroit Tigers closing in on Burnes with +650 odds. Skubal, who was tipped by FOX Sports MLB analyst Ben Verlander as one to watch in the AL, has been performing impressively with a 1-0 record, 15 strikeouts, and an ERA of 2.92 in two starts.

On the National League side, Dodgers pitcher Tyler Glasnow has seen an improvement in his odds, moving from +1400 to +900. Glasnow has been shining as the ace for the Dodgers, with a 3-0 record, 29 strikeouts, and an ERA of 2.25, leading the league in strikeouts and recently striking out a career-high 14 batters in a single game.

As the MLB season progresses, it will be interesting to see how these odds continue to shift and who ultimately emerges victorious in the Cy Young Awards race. Stay tuned to FOXSports.com for the latest updates on the odds throughout the season.
