Coby White scores career-high 42 points as Bulls roll past Hawks 131-116 in play-in game

In a thrilling matchup, Coby White led the Chicago Bulls to a 131-116 victory over the Atlanta Hawks, scoring a career-high 42 points. The Bulls now advance in the play-in tournament, setting up a face-off against Miami Heat for the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. The Hawks, despite Dejounte Murray’s 30 points, were unable to secure a win after losing their final six regular-season games.

Nikola Vucevic contributed significantly with 24 points and 12 rebounds for the Bulls, supported by DeMar DeRozan’s 22 points and nine assists. Ayo Dosunmu, who returned from injury, added 19 points to the scoreboard, showcasing the Bulls’ strong offensive performance by shooting 56.8% from the field.

Despite efforts from Atlanta’s Trae Young and Clint Capela, who both scored 22 points, the Hawks fell short, with Young committing six turnovers throughout the game. The Bulls took control early in the game, leading 40-22 at the end of the first quarter, and maintained their momentum to secure the win.
