Kansas City Chiefs' coach Andy Reid ranks Bill Belichick 'right at the top in our era'

Kansas City Chiefs head coach, Andy Reid, recently discussed where he would rank former New England Patriots coach, Bill Belichick, on his all-time coaching list. Belichick, who recently parted ways with the Patriots after 24 years, has an impressive coaching resume that includes six Super Bowl titles, nine AFC championships, and 17 AFC East titles. Reid, who has faced off against Belichick numerous times, praised the 71-year-old coach, placing him at the top of his list in their era.

Reid’s admiration for Belichick stems from his unmatched record, which includes 302 regular-season wins (third in NFL history), 31 postseason game wins (an NFL record), and nine Super Bowl appearances as a head coach. Despite Belichick’s rocky departure from New England, Reid acknowledges the legacy he has built over the years.

In contrast, Reid is making his mark in the NFL with his success as the Chiefs head coach. He has led the team to two consecutive Super Bowl appearances, 10 postseason appearances, eight division titles, and six AFC Championship games since taking the helm in 2013. Prior to his time with the Chiefs, Reid also had a successful coaching stint with the Philadelphia Eagles, leading them to nine playoff runs, six division titles, and five NFC Championship Games.

Both Reid and Belichick have left lasting imprints on the NFL through their coaching legacies, with Reid continuing to build his own while paying homage to the accomplishments of his coaching counterpart.
