NHAI signs MoU with HLL Life Care for incident management system, ET HealthWorld

In a bid to enhance incident management systems and assist accident victims on National Highways, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has signed an agreement with HLL Life Care Ltd. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) aims to bolster NHAI’s existing incident management system with the inclusion of ambulances, route patrol vans, cranes, real-time tracking, and supportive supervision.

The partnership will lead to an improved response time for accident victims and facilitate their referral to the nearest health facilities, establishing a seamless process for incident management. Additionally, the agreement includes the operation and management of Trauma Centres/Emergency Stabilization Centers to maximize assistance during the golden hour and enhance health outcomes.

HLL Lifecare Limited will provide services for comprehensive geo-tagging, mapping, and engagement of health facilities and trauma centers across National Highways to enhance emergency medical response by linking health facilities with ambulances. A blueprint for investment in trauma centers along National Highways will also be developed by HLL Lifecare Limited as part of the agreement.

The agreement between NHAI and HLL Lifecare Limited will be valid for a period of five years, focusing on strengthening the incident management systems and providing timely assistance to accident victims on the National Highways. The aim is to create a more efficient and effective emergency response system to ensure the safety and well-being of all road users.
