HealthTech Startup ClaimBuddy raises $5 million in Series A funding

In a recent announcement, ClaimBuddy, a health insurance claim assistance platform, has successfully closed its Series A funding round, securing a substantial $5 million in investment. The funding was led by Bharat Innovation Fund (BIF), with participation from Japanese fund CAC Capital, Chiratae Ventures, and Rebright Partners. This significant investment will allow ClaimBuddy to enhance its technology, expand its team and sales network, and introduce new product lines to serve its growing network of partner hospitals.

Founded by Khet Singh Rajpurohit and Ajit Patel, ClaimBuddy aims to streamline the healthcare financing sector by addressing the challenges faced by patients and hospitals in the health insurance claim process. The co-founders, drawing on their prior experiences in the healthcare industry, recognized a critical gap in efficient claims management. Since its inception, ClaimBuddy has processed claims for over 35,000 patients, amounting to over 500+ Crores, and has partnered with 250+ hospitals across India.

CEO Khet Singh Rajpurohit expressed the company’s vision to alleviate the burdens faced by patients and hospitals in managing healthcare expenses and insurance claims. The funding will enable ClaimBuddy to introduce innovative financial tools, scale operations, and continue making a meaningful impact in the healthcare sector. Co-founder Ajit Patel echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the opportunities ahead for the company to further innovate and expand services, ultimately improving access to quality care for patients nationwide.
