The IMD predicts severe heat wave conditions in isolated places in Odisha on April 18-19 and heat wave conditions on April 20-21. According to Manorama Mohanty, Director of IMD Bhubaneswar, 27 cities in Odisha are experiencing temperatures above 41 degrees Celsius.

In a statement to ANI, Mohanty highlighted that Bhubaneshwar, Boudh, and Angul witnessed temperatures exceeding 43 degrees Celsius.
