D2C nutrition brand Earthful raises ₹3.3 cr in pre-seed funding

Earthful, a company specializing in plant-based health and nutrition supplements, has secured an investment of ₹3.3 crore in a pre-seed round from Green Ivy Venture and a group of angel investors, including Abhishek Goyal of Tracxn, Jayant Paleti of Darwinbox, and Brij Bhushan of Magicpin. The funding will be used to further research and development, expand their omni-channel presence, and grow their team, according to Earthful Co-Founders Sudha Gogineni and Veda Gogineni.

Established by the two sisters in 2020, Earthful offers a variety of plant-based health and supplement products, such as vegan protein in four flavors, multivitamins, and supplements for bone and skin health. Sudha stated that the nutraceutical market in India is projected to reach $18 billion by 2025, as the adoption of nutritional supplements continues to rise due to an increase in lifestyle diseases.

Sudha, a chemical engineer from IIT Kharagpur and an alumnus of ISB Hyderabad, and Veda, a biotechnologist from IIT Kharagpur, are both experienced professionals with backgrounds in well-known companies. They believe that their science-backed, plant-based nutrition products are addressing the challenges associated with nutritional deficiencies in today’s society.
