Telangana CM promises ₹2-lakh farm loan waiver by August 15

Telangana Chief Minister and Pradesh Congress Committee President A Revanth Reddy has made a significant announcement regarding the State government’s promise of a ₹2-lakh farm loan waiver by August 15. Speaking at a public meeting in Narayanpet, he stated that the government plans to clear all farm loans up to ₹2 lakh and also provide a bonus of ₹500 on every quintal of paddy in the upcoming agricultural season.

Revanth Reddy emphasized the government’s commitment to fulfilling its promises, highlighting the introduction of schemes such as free bus services for women using public transport and affordable gas cylinders. He reassured the public that the farm loans would be waived before August 15, urging voters to support the Congress in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the State.

Accusing the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of joining forces to hinder the Congress in the upcoming elections, the Chief Minister called for unity among voters to secure success. With the deadline set for the farm loan waiver and the promise of additional benefits for farmers, the State government aims to address the financial burdens faced by agricultural workers and boost agribusiness in Telangana.
