Gautam Adani' firm to buy six Pilatus PC-24 business jets for ₹300 cr: Report

The Adani Group, led by billionaire Gautam Adani, is doubling its fleet of business jets with an order for six Pilatus PC-24 aircraft. The purpose of this expansion is to ensure efficient transportation for the company’s top executives and businessmen. With this purchase, the total number of business jets in the Adani Group’s fleet will reach 12.

The acquisition of these new aircraft is being handled by Karnavati Aviation, the aviation arm of Gautam Adani’s company which houses all its business jets. According to a report from Livemint, the deal for the six aircraft is expected to cost the company over ₹300 crore as the purchase is from the resale market, although the timeline of the acquisition has not been finalized yet.

This move comes as the Adani Group is working on advancing its revitalization plan after overcoming losses incurred in 2023. The Supreme Court ruled in the company’s favor, dismissing the need for any additional investigation into the allegations made by the Hindenburg report. This report had accused Gautam Adani and his conglomerate of stock manipulation and accounting fraud, resulting in significant losses for the company and Adani’s personal wealth. However, with the Supreme Court ruling in favor of the company, Adani was able to quickly recover from these losses and regain his position as the richest man in India for a brief period.

The six new Pilatus PC-24 aircraft are expected to play a vital role in the Adani Group’s efforts to ensure smooth and efficient transportation for its top executives and businessmen as it continues to expand its business and revamp operations.
