Suzuki hits new milestone of producing 8 million two-wheelers in India

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL) has marked a significant achievement by producing its eight millionth two-wheeler in India. The Japanese manufacturer, which has been operating in the country since 2006, reached this milestone within 19 years. The eight millionth two-wheeler, a Suzuki Avenis 125 scooter in a vibrant orange color, rolled off the production line at the brand’s facility in Haryana.

Suzuki’s journey to the eight millionth unit began with the first four million production milestone achieved in 13 years. The following four million units were produced in less than six years, with the last one million units added in just one year. This rapid growth underscores the brand’s popularity in the Indian market.

Speaking about this achievement, Kenichi Umeda, Managing Director of Suzuki Motorcycle India, expressed gratitude to customers and business partners for their support. The company remains committed to providing enhanced after-sales service and customer satisfaction. The manufacturing plant produces two-wheelers for both domestic sales and export markets, with a focus on its popular 125 cc scooter range.

As part of the celebration, Suzuki has announced special offers for customers, including a retail finance option at an 8% interest rate and a free 8-point check-up for existing Suzuki two-wheeler owners. These offers will be available from April 20 until the end of the month, allowing customers to benefit from the milestone achievement.
