Jeep Wrangler facelift to be launched in India on April 22

Jeep India is gearing up to launch the updated Wrangler off-roader in the Indian market on April 22, 2024. The Jeep Wrangler facelift, which made its global debut nearly a year ago, is set to undergo a comprehensive upgrade in design and features as it enters the Indian market.

The facelifted Jeep Wrangler will feature a slimmer black grille with the iconic seven-slat design, along with new alloy wheels and various roof options. It is expected that Jeep India will offer both soft top and hard top variants to cater to different preferences. The updated model is set to bring a fresh look to the rugged SUV.

Inside the cabin, the Wrangler facelift will offer a revised dashboard layout with a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and repositioned AC vents. The SUV will come equipped with Jeep’s latest Uconnect 5 user interface, offering enhanced connectivity features. Additionally, the new Trails Offroad guide will provide access to 62 off-road trails integrated into the system.

Powering the Jeep Wrangler facelift for India will be a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine producing 266 bhp and 400 Nm of torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The SUV will also come with Jeep’s Selec-Trac full-time Four-Wheel Drive (4WD) system. Notably, there will be no diesel engine option available for the Indian market.

The Jeep Wrangler is currently available in two variants – Unlimited and Rubicon – with prices ranging from ₹62.65 lakh to ₹66.65 lakh (ex-showroom). It is expected that the facelifted model will command a marginal premium over the current pricing. The Wrangler will face competition from rivals like the Land Rover Defender in the luxury off-roader segment.
