Hyundai Motor India has rolled out its ‘Grameen Mahotsav’ initiative in 16 new locations across the country, following the success of its inaugural event in Gujarat. The initiative aims to strengthen Hyundai’s connection to rural India through curated events featuring live music, folk dance, and regional talent shows.

The automaker sees this initiative as a platform to tap into the vast potential of rural markets by engaging with communities and understanding market trends. Hyundai aims to cater to evolving aspirations and welcome new customers in these areas.

Hyundai Motor India’s COO, Tarun Garg, highlighted the company’s focus on rural markets, noting a significant 11% growth in vehicle sales in rural India in the financial year 2023-24. With nearly 40% of sales and service networks located in rural areas, Hyundai is committed to building strong relationships with rural communities.

Garg expressed confidence in the growth potential of rural markets, citing factors such as good monsoons, increasing income levels, and improved infrastructure. Hyundai aims to continue innovating and engaging with rural consumers to contribute to the inclusive development of the country.

The expansion of the ‘Grameen Mahotsav’ initiative underscores Hyundai’s commitment to serving diverse markets and fostering connections with customers nationwide.
