Deputy Commissioner of Police (central) Harsha Vardhan stated that a team of special staff conducted a raid on two workshops near Mata Sundari Road where the individuals were engaged in the production of counterfeit airbags. The three arrested suspects have been identified as Faizan (26), Mohd. Faraz, and Furkan, both aged 35 years.

During the raid, a significant number of fake airbags were confiscated from the workshops. Among the seized airbags were 12 for MG, 13 for BMW, 22 for Citroen, 23 for Nissan, and airbags for multiple other car brands. Additionally, raw materials for making counterfeit airbags were also recovered from the premises.

Further investigations are ongoing, and a case has been registered against the arrested individuals. The police are working to gather more information and dismantle the network involved in the manufacturing of these fake airbags.
