New generation BMW X3 teased ahead of nearing debut, will receive a PHEV variant

The highly anticipated new generation BMW X3 SUV is set to make its debut in the coming weeks. BMW X3, known for its popularity and success with 350,000 units sold in 2023, is gearing up for a major refresh. The German luxury car manufacturer has officially teased the upcoming X3, giving a glimpse of what to expect.

Internally known as G45, the new BMW X3 features a sleeker design under the camouflage wrap. BMW has made improvements to enhance fuel efficiency by lowering the drag co-efficiency level from 0.29 to 0.27. The wider track and increased rigidity with upgraded anti-roll bars promise a more comfortable ride experience for drivers and passengers.

The new BMW X3 comes equipped with an adaptive chassis, electronically controlled shock absorbers, and upgraded safety features. The car is expected to receive high scores in the Euro NCAP crash test. Additionally, the interior design includes a simplified dashboard layout with a mix of touchscreen infotainment system and conventional physical buttons for easy access to functions.

Images of camouflaged prototypes reveal the plug-in hybrid and M Performance derivatives of the new BMW X3. The plug-in hybrid variant is anticipated to have a larger battery pack for extended electric range, while the high-performance model may introduce a quad exhaust system and a new nomenclature strategy with the M50 designation.

The new BMW X3 aims to set the benchmark in the luxury SUV segment with its advanced technology, improved performance, and sleek design. Car enthusiasts and potential buyers can expect a groundbreaking debut from BMW’s upcoming X3 model.
