Mahindra XUV700 AX7 price cut: Here's the real reason for the offer

Mahindra & Mahindra recently announced a significant price cut for the XUV700 AX7 variant, reducing the starting price to ₹19.69 lakh from ₹21.50 lakh. This price reduction is part of the celebration for the XUV700 completing three years in India and will only be valid for four months.

The price cut applies to all versions of the XUV700 AX7, including both petrol and diesel engine options, manual and automatic transmissions, and six or seven-seat layouts. The range-topping XUV700 AX7 L variant’s price has also been temporarily reduced to between ₹23.69 lakh and ₹25 lakh.

In a stock exchange filing, Mahindra & Mahindra explained that the decision to lower prices was strategic, aimed at driving growth. The company stated, “The announced price cut of XUV700 is a continuation of our business strategy execution that was articulated in our 14th February 2024 analyst meeting where we clearly outlined that we have to bring the average price point down to drive growth.”

Mahindra & Mahindra also highlighted the launch of the more affordable XUV700 AX5 Select variant earlier this year as part of their deliberate effort to offer competitive pricing. The company introduced a special 3rd-anniversary celebration variant for the higher-end XUV700, available for a limited period of four months.

The Mahindra XUV700 has been a popular choice for customers, with the model recently reaching a production milestone of two lakh units. The company’s decision to lower prices for the AX7 variant reflects their commitment to providing value to customers and driving continued growth in the market.
